Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport
Reconstruction of Taxiway B South
The Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport (BAF) is a joint civil-military airport located in Western
Massachusetts. The airport serves as the home to the 104th Fighter Wing, as well as Gulfstream’s Northeast service center.
The project scope of work included the following elements:
• Removal of the original Taxiway B South
• Realignment and Reconstruction of widened Taxiway B South (approx. 5000′ x 125′)
• Realignment of stub taxiways
• Installation of taxiway pavement markings
• Installation of new drainage and taxiway lighting systems
The project was split into multiple phases to reduce downtime for airport tenants. Construction is expected to be completed in 2025.
ASG was responsible for completing the design and construction/project management for this $32M construction project.
